For thousands of years, cultures from all over the world have used hand drumming as a way to express themselves in a spirit of community and teambuilding.  In a marriage of the ancient with the contemporary, participants will experience the positive connections created through playing a rhythm instrument with members of their team.

The Drumming Celebration provides uplifting, community and teambuilding building activities in which everyone can participate without any knowledge of drumming.

Fun and creative activities allow for everyone at your retreat or function to experience play and inclusiveness.  There is a powerful seduction inherent in rhythm-based activities.  Utilizing the natural and inherent rhythms we have within, using simple rhythm patterns, participants will experience the power of syncopation and connection.  Your guests will experience the euphoria that can be experienced through hand drumming and the creation of powerful group rhythms.

This innovative, fun and highly interactive program will enhance any event as  participants will use hand drums and rhythm instruments to:

  • Provide a positive and exhilarating professional development program;
  • Experience an inclusive team building event in which all staff, faculty and administrative can participate in;
  • Create a positive, morale boosting activity;
  • Release stress and increase positive emotions.

PEDERSON KRAG INC.

“Thank you for providing your full day staff development program.  You surpassed my expectations in attaining the core goals of the day, namely to provide a rejuvenating and energizing staff experience, and to enhance our sense of community and team identity.  The enjoyment, enthusiasm and appreciation you have for the material presented came through from your opening remarks to the final wrap-up.  The positive energy was contagious and it was evident by the rhythm and drumming exercises by days end that everyone had caught it.  Kudos on a job well done!”

ACCENTURE CORPORATION

“On January 20, 2006, Robert Friedman was hired to provide a drumming program for our retreat.  I work for Accenture, a global management consulting, technology services and outsourcing company. Robert was able to lead the Drumming Celebration for 300 Accenture consultants at our Financial Services New York Community Meeting.

The Accenture meeting focused on the following core values; Integrity, Best People, One Global Network and Respect for the Individual. As the last activity of the busy day, Robert was able to incorporate the core values that were communicated throughout the day into the activity. By participating in the Drumming Celebration, each individual was challenged to work together, put personal agendas aside, and trust one another. It created synergy and a sense of connection amongst all participants. In addition, the activity was exciting and fun, which were the key goals of the meeting. In our busy and often stressful lives as consultants, this activity helped relieve stress and promote a sense of well-being.

As one of the coordinators of the events, I was most impressed by the way all participants participated together. In addition, I was also impressed by how attentive some of the often closed-minded individuals in the room were throughout this activity. It was really wonderful to see all of the smiles on everyone’s faces throughout each exercise.

Some quotes from the other participants in the activity were as follows: “It was fun!,” “I really liked the drums. It was a unique way of creating a powerful and connecting experience.,” “I really got into it.  It was so much fun.”

“The drumming activity was a motivational experience. The activity was able to marry very distinct sounds into a uniform melodious group of sounds.  It showed that a group without extensive musical talent, individually could come together in a matter of a few minutes to create the most amazing sounds collectively, which is a message that easily translates into everyday life.”

In summary, I would highly recommend Mr. Friedman’s drumming program at any business or personal event for an uplifting and fun experience!”

Sincerely,

Tara Freeman, Senior Manager — Accenture
