Healing Power of the Drum Workshop

Stress has been linked to many emotional, psychological and physical problems, including heart attacks, strokes, cancer, Type II diabetes, and aging.
Join Robert Lawrence Friedman, MA, a recognized leader in the field of stress management and rhythm-based therapy for this unique program that explores the practical new science of drumming and health. Research indicates that hand drumming and rhythm-based exercises can improve the immune system, lower stress levels and boost positive emotions.
Mr. Friedman, author of The Healing Power of the Drum – A Psychotherapist Explores the Healing Power of Rhythm (White Cliffs Media, 2001) and The Healing Power of Drum II – A Journey of Rhythm and Stories (Pathway Books, 2010), will provide participants with rhythm games and exercises that will reduce your stress, improve your immune system and promote positive feelings.
No experience is necessary and all drums are provided.
This workshop is recommended for any adult interested in improving their mental, physical and emotional health. Appropriate for ages up to 101 years old.
Ten percent of all proceeds will be going to the Coalition for Hemophila B.
